Beaches

The local blue flag beaches at Los Narejos are less than 5 mins drive from Roda. White sand, lots of beach bars and perfect for children as there are no significant waves or currents due to the influence of the inland sea of the Mar Menor.

Mar Menor (Little Sea) is a unique area located on the east coast of Spain, within the region of Murcia, just above the city of Cartagena. Few regions have the good fortune to have both a saltwater lake and a Mediterranean shore. The region of Murcia has both and the salt water lake with an area of 170sq.km is known as Mar Menor, the largest salt water lake in Europe.

As well as the natural importance of the area the mud and clay are said to have therapeutic properties, known for centuries.


With so much water here there is no wonder that the area is a haven for watersports. The possibilities here are endless from sailing to diving, windsurfing and jetskiing.


Roda Golf and Beach Resort has it's own private Beach Club available for use free of charge to residents. Access is either by car via the La Manga Strip or via a bus/boat journey across the Mar Menor which can be booked in advance at Resort sales office. There is a 12 euro charge per person for return transport.

The Beach Club has a pool area with jacuzzi, complimentary sun loungers, restaurant, bar and chill out area with wi fi service, changing rooms with lockers, etc… You are advised to take a picnic as the prices in the restaurant are much greater than on Roda. We have not been in 3 years as the local beaches and bars are so good but reports suggest that the beach club makes a relaxing day out . Roda Golf & Beach Resort.
